We’ll be encouraging you to work on projects
– to develop your own "Brief Hybrids" - Workshops or Teaching/Learning Modules,
and to help your colleagues by offering constructive
criticism. We only expect you to
BEGIN this project during our first session together, although we hope you will surprise
us with your progress! And, if time permits, we'll
invite you to run your new Brief Hybrid with the rest of us
as your students/participants. This should serve as a
"pilot" demo for all of us while providing you with useful
feedback.
Bottlenecks - Instructional, Faculty Development, Brief
Hybrids
What is one item in a course that you teach
[or in a faculty development workshop that you offer] that
takes more class time than you would like to ensure that all
learners “get it” ? Or an important item that you’re not
sure they get at all? Best of all, a topic, problem,
pitfall, instructional bottleneck, faculty development
challenge, … that you already have identified and believe
you can address effectively in a Brief Hybrid Workshop or
Teaching/Learning Module.
