Building Community and Connections Online and On Campus - Internationally,
Globally, and Locally
This event will introduce some peace initiatives (Pendle Hill Peace Network,
...) related organizations (Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre, ...), and suggest
how participants may support and extend the work of such programs. The
session will demonstrate and use new widely available Internet options to mix live
interaction among people present at the FAHE (Friends Association for Higher
Education) conference, people located at other campuses and in other countries,
and some excerpts from pre-recorded conversations with representatives of peace
initiatives and related programs.
The session will explore how can we use the Web and the Internet to help link
individuals and institutions, build more constructive relationships
among people - at every level from the smallest team
project within a single academic course to the boldest international peace
program addressing almost overwhelming challenges. |
