| Problematic teaching/learning activity = an activity
(e.g., breaking a large class into smaller discussion groups) that is more
difficult to do in some learning spaces than in others. For example, in
classrooms with chairs bolted to the floor and narrow aisles, it can
be difficult to break a large group into small working groups. In contrast,
in classrooms with chairs on wheels and lots of open space, it can be much
easier to reconfigure the class several times during a meeting. There
are parallel differences in the virtual world. There too breaking a large
group into smaller discussion groups and then reconvening is easy in some
systems, difficult in others.
