For Facilitators: Begin by having
participants devise an important reason to ask people
questions. If they're teaching courses, they might take
this 'asking the
right questions' workshop on devising their own
questions on educational uses of technology in their own
courses. Or they might have other issues in mind.
Preparing for workshop
Workshop schedule
1. Participants bring, or write, their questions
2. Quickly demonstrate how to use Flashlight Online to write
questions, live or by showing the video demo (5-10 minutes)
3. Guide them through the process of logging into and
creating their surveys, step by step (10 minutes)
4. Have them exchange survey URLs (e.g., by email or by
using a utility such as tinyURL) and respond to 1-3 surveys
written by others in the workshop. [This might be done
between two workshops.]
5. Demonstrate analysis [This step and #6 might be a second
short workshop] (5 minutes)
6. Analyze data from their own surveys and consider how to
use it (5-10 minutes)
