Which learning space issues should we emphasize in FridayLive! today

1. Please check no more than three of the following topics for our discussion on Friday. If you have your own examples in your chosen areas, please come ready to tell us about them (e.g., URLs for the chatroom). Thanks!
[15] Informal learning spaces that complement formal spaces (e.g., wide hallways with chairs, near classrooms; flatscreens for laptops in meeting areas)
[19] Studio classrooms (rooms for large classes that facilitate small group discussion, experiment, mini-lecture, visualization…)
[30] Shifting from seat time to 24x7 time in the design of learning spaces
[29] Evaluating current learning spaces in order to get more value from them and set the stage for deciding whether/how to renovate or place them
[25] New uses for old spaces: students using clickers, chatrooms, and more to communicate and do research while in a class meeting
[11] For students who live on campus, are there teaching/learning activities for which we on longer need (so much) physical space? Physical/online tradeoffs
[8] Learning spaces - are we spending too much money and attention in planning them, or not enough?
  [6] Other

2. If you checked "other" as one of your three choices, what would you like us to discuss in this session?

[
How can we use "technology" to really change learing not simiply pile it on top of tradtional learning. How can we use it to increase acess, affordability and accountability?]
[
balancing online and f2f activities for web-enhanced classes, to take advantage of each environment. Doing so in a way that students will realize the importance of using each, and will not say "all of this could have been done online".]
[
Id like to talk about MUVEs Id also like to talk about learning spaces that are not understood as learning spaces, ie beyond the corridor watercooler metaphor, places like bakeries and neonatal clinics and road works!!]
[
Hi! So sorry. Most likely I won't be able to make this since it will be 2am in Singapore. btw, I was hoping to get insights on how learning spaces such as wikis and other social media could be optimized for learning.]
[
We are looking at how to design a library that makes learning happen. How can we design the spaces to ensure that students engages with each other, with faculty, and with their subject matter?]
[
Building spaces with movable desks/chairs so that groups of students can sit in circles, etc for teacm building, etc.]
[
rooms for large classes that facilitate small group discussion]
