Members Only Online Event
How to get there
ON THE DAY OF ANY
MEMBERS ONLY EVENT, click on the appropriate link in the
"Members Only" section at the bottom of the
TLT Group's
home page.
We're trying to update
this link as a Members Only service. We hope it
provides an easy way for our Individual Members to
participate in our events and find our resources without
having to learn or memorize anything else! If you
have suggestions for making this even easier,
let us know!

Video Sharing PILOT FRLV Members Only
We'll include some of the
following sections in most Members Only sessions. The order
will be influenced by what you offer or request.
I'd especially like a couple of you to describe a
Compassionate Pioneer whom you know and admire. Maybe
someone from your own institution?
For any of these areas,
do you have an item to offer that would be interesting
and useful to your colleagues? Do you have a
request or question that you would like addressed within
one of these areas?

Compassionate Pioneers &
Compassionate Pioneering
Compassionate Pioneers are those who not only
reach beyond their own limits and lead the way in
developing or trying new options, but who also
encourage and help their colleagues to take the same
path. Perhaps only a few of us can be “Compassionate
Pioneers,” but most of us can engage occasionally in
acts of “Compassionate Pioneering” – and we should
do so as often as we can.
To
nominate a Compassionate Pioneer, you can use
this form .
To provide a Web-accessible audio recording about a
Compassionate Pioneer, you can use a toll-free phone
call to our
Gabcast Channel.

Brief Hybrid Workshops,
eClips A Brief Hybrid Workshop (BHW)
is a group activity that usually requires less
than 15 minutes. A BHW includes the use of one or
more media clips (eClips) AND some other files,
instructions, activities, documents, plans,
guidelines, etc. A single Web page serves as the
home base for the Workshop by including links to all
essential elements. In a BHW, participants interact
with each other and with
leaders/presenters/facilitators - face-to-face,
online, or both; synchronously, asynchronously or
both. A BHW is intended to help a group of
people to produce or learn something useful to them.
An "eClip" is a pre-recording produced
as a single computer file. It may include
a variety of media
elements: sound, images, text, etc.
“A media clip is a short segment of media
either an audio clip or a video clip. ” - From
Wikipedia, 4/17/2007
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_clip.

Visions/Theories/Metaphors Worth Working Toward -
Visions, theories, and metaphors can help us
clarify, shape, and focus our work. And enable
us to accomplish what is important to us.
A "Vision Worth Working Toward"
is more than an expectation and less than a
prediction. It must be an inspiring but plausible
goal that participants can work toward and make
visible progress - soon.
Are we having a NEW kind of Support Service Crisis? What
can we do about it? What are the new
opportunities and challenges posed by educationally
attractive technology options that cannot be owned,
controlled or fully supported by any college or
university? E.g., by Google Docs; Flip Video
Camcorders; FaceBook?
