Just a few things to do to
ensure your positive contribution to the workshop...
The main idea is for you to
encourage others to participate more actively and
meaningfully in the online sessions by demonstrating
attractive, admirable, attainable ways of doing so.
Think about the kinds of students who seemed to make a
course or a class meeting more valuable in your own
experience as a student or teacher. What did they
do?
-Attend every and all sessions
in their entirety.
-Please have 6 questions ready
in advance before each session relating to the workshop. These can be anything and everything, including
questions related to your campus, or questions you may
have had in the past when just starting out.
-If
you have a chance to do a little research, or you are
already familiar with the topic, you may also prepare a
few references to offer during the session if an
appropriate opportunity emerges.
-Please have a microphone
connected. You do not need to speak aloud at every
opportunity, but be sure to introduce yourself in the
beginning of the workshop and get comfortable with the
use of the microphone. Other participants
may hesitate to use the microphone until they see their
peers (e.g., you) using the microphone successfully.
-Have a great time and get to
know your peers!
Thank you for your
participation as the Model Learner!
