Instance #1
I used a message board with a freshmen class, and at one
point, allowed anonymous posting so that students wouldn't
be embarrassed to state a view. But some students used that
to attack other students. I wasn't sure how to handle that
without simply deciding never to allow anonymous postings.

Instance #2
I developed a system by which students’ grades were based on
both their faculty and their peers’ evaluation of class
performance. I hoped my students would do good evaluation if
classmates. I even made it confidential. Nonetheless
everybody gave maximum grades to themselves and their peers.
