Event Activities When/How
Feedback Elicit & use feedback Frequent;

1.  Planning & Tailoring Select approaches, topics, examples, possible guests 2-6 weeks prior to F2F (Face-to-Face) workshop;  via phone or online synch. tools
2.  Face-to-Face (F2F) Workshop 1-4 hours presentation;

1-4 hours lab exploration and template completion work

A.  Presentations Introduce Planning Template 15-30 minutes;  visual presentation + hard copies + Web versions
Introduce Tailored Website, Exploration Guides 5-20 minutes;  presentation + hand-outs include URLs for Website & Exploration Guides
Introduce a few available tools (incl. Flashlight Online & others in Exploration Guides) 10-30 minutes;  demos
Introduce collections of instructional resources avail. via Exploration Guides (incl. LTAs, MERLOT, Open Source, ...) 10-30 minutes;  demos
Introduce approaches for improving teaching and learning with technology avail. via Exploration Guides (e.g., constructivism, Seven Principles, personalization, concept mapping ...) 10-30 minutes;  demos;  suggest embellishing concept map
2. B.  Exploration Individuals or small groups work in computer lab using Exploration Guides 30 minutes to 2 hours (preferably in 30 minute increments);  participants urged to go beyond first level of links in Exploration Guides
2. C.  Template Individuals or small groups (of people who share important goals relevant to this workshop)  fill in Planning Template as preparation for taking next steps 15 minutes to several hours;  begin working during F2F (Face-to-Face)  workshop and continue during the following weeks
3.  Implementation Individuals or small groups complete the Planning Template as preparation for and record of the indicated activities (make a change in a course; assess the change;  improve and report; help a colleague;  identify additional resources needed;  plan to get them;  repeat) During the weeks or months following the F2F (Face-to-Face) workshop (pace depends on institutional resources, commitment and individual incentives/disincentives).
4.  Follow-up Sessions 1 hour per session;  1 session per month
4. A.  Clinic(s) Participants ask questions, give progress reports, request help or additional resources 3 to 6 weeks after F2F (Face-to-Face)  workshop [repeat as needed];  online/phone synchronous session(s)
4. B.  Topic(s) Presentations & discussion of topics important to most participants 3 to 6 months after F2F (Face-to-Face)  workshop [repeat as needed];  online/phone synchronous session(s)
4. C.  Planning Identify additional resources needed in common by many participants;  develop strategic and tactical plans for obtaining those resources within or outside the institution 3 to 6 months after F2F (Face-to-Face)  workshop [repeat as needed];  online/phone synchronous session(s)
5.  Repeat as Needed! Use feedback info collected! When/how resources permit!
