Ideas for Spreading LTAs across an Institution in order to Foster the Seven Principles of Good Practice

• Get out of the  way - don't force people to evaluate it in a pre-set way
• Need faculty spokespeople - a range of people including early adopters, new faculty, older faculty. Group of faculty who represent different disciplines
• Model computer communications if that's an idea you want to spread
• Faculty plan and deliver best practice sessions
• Develop a web site for sharing ideas about these seven topics
• Go where they are - if they walk through the library, put it on the bulletin board
• Mentors in that department
• Brown bags in the department
• Focus on individual technological needs of faculty
• Demonstrate institutional commitment by giving some time to the mentors so that they can help
• using technology fellows to individually interact with faculty
