Tom Henderson is the Director of Testing and Assessment at Central
Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington. He manages CWU's
Thomson-Prometric test center and is working on institutional-wide
assessment projects. Research interests include Activity-based Costing
applied to higher education, analysis of the efficiency and effectiveness
of postsecondary educational processes, survey design and analysis,
learning outcomes assessment, and formative assessment techniques.
Henderson enjoys working with the WCET where he consults on their
Technology Costing Methodology project. He also has experience applying
the mini-Bridge/TCM cost model developed by Frank Jewet in collaboration
with the WCET. Tom is a Senior Associate of the Flashlight Program of the
TLTGroup; he has worked with them for almost a decade. Projects include
applying and helping review the Flashlight Cost Model as well as providing
technical support for Flashlight Online, the Flashlight Program's online
survey system hosted by CTLSilhouette.
Tom Henderson received his Ph.D. form the Individual Interdisciplinary
Degree Program at Washington State University in 1999 combining studies
from Educational Leadership and Counseling Psychology, Computer Science,
and Decision Sciences. He completed an MBA from the University of
Washington in 1981. It doesn't seem possible that he has over 20 years of
industry and postsecondary educational experience.
