Serves as the chief academic officer and the chief information technology officer for
an urban, four-college community college district enrolling 20,000 credit students each
fall semester.
District wide responsibilities include curriculum; academic policy; program development;
research; assessment; professional development; occupational education; library resources;
instructional computing; television and distance education; network and user services;
telecommunications; and computer services, including enterprise wide information system
(PeopleSoft) implementation.
Previous Positions
Associate Director, League for Innovation in
the Community College, Mission Viejo, California. 1987
to 1993.
Directed the League's major projects on the application of information technology. Responsibilities include project development,
coordination, and evaluation; liaison with corporate partners; and dissemination of
information about project activities.
Edited
Leadership Abstracts, a monthly series on major
issues facing community college leaders.
Coordinated
various League activities, conferences, and publications, including those related to
institutional effectiveness, leadership development, business and industry training, and
programs and services for special populations, such as under prepared students and older
adults.

Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
