Gary
Wheeler attended the first AAHE-TLTR workshop with a team
from Miami University. Since serving as a guest facilitator
at the 2nd TLTR Summer Institute, he has served as a cluster
leader and presenter at regional and national workshops for
the TLT Group.
A faculty
member (>23 years) and academic administrator, Gary Wheeler
is active:

in
scholarship-working with art museums and cultural groups
in the area of ethnic studies and the material culture
of American Indians; writing books on design and
typography; creating designs and illustrations for
scientific visualization and for fine art production;

in
presentations on technology; teaching technology-related
workshops for teachers and artists;

in
facilitating workshops on cultural diversity;
-
in
teaching courses on various topics in art history.
He is a
long-time member of the consultant-evaluator and team Chair
corps of the North Central Association (CIHE) where his
focus includes examining the effectiveness of teaching using
technology and distance learning programs.
Gary
received a B.F.A. from the University of Connecticut and an
M.F.A. from Arizona State University.
