Flashlight
Online 2.0 is now available by beta test for all our
subscribing institutions and individual members with
Flashlight Online.
At this time, Flashlight
Online 1.0 remains our mainline
system. Even after 2.0 is fully released, new features
will continue to be added to 2.0 on a regular basis (e.g., the ability
to search across institutions to find Flashlight Online 2.0 surveys, item banks, and
questions on specific topics; conditional questions that will
enable branching and skip patterns; new options for linking 2.0
to other institutional information systems).
Once Flashlight Online 2.0 is
fully released, later this year, we will begin one
year transition, during which both Flashlight Online systems
would be available to our
subscribers. Flashlight Online 1.0 will only be converted to “read-only” status
once that transitional year ends; after that time authors at
active subscriber institutions will still be able to see
their old surveys and data, but will no longer be able to
create or administer Flashlight Online 1.0 surveys.
