Flashlight Online 2.0 is like
nothing else available: a multi-purpose Web 2.0 system for building and sharing
new kinds of surveys, and a fresh approach to student
course evaluation, and creating rubrics, and
developing new kinds of online forms.
-
Faculty and students doing
survey research will be able to pursue pioneering
research in their disciplines.
For example, lashlight Online 2.0
opens new options for the study of educational
innovations and uses of technology. (Click
here for an explanation of matrix surveys.)
-
Institutions doing
student course
evaluation
will see that it is less expensive and more
flexible than alternatives.
-
Faculty engaged in the
scholarship of teaching and learning will discover
exciting options for building on the research of their
colleagues. It's especially well-suited for faculty
learning communities.
-
You can boost
response rates (e.g., by tracking who has responded,
while maintaining respondent anonymity.
-
It's secure.
-
You can display
reports to respondents as soon as they complete
a survey and then allow them to watch as more data comes
in.
-
It's exceptionally
user friendly and cost
effective.
Flashlight Online 2.0
is much smarter than the average monkey. It's powered
by the Skylight
Matrix Survey System, which has been developed by the Center
for Teaching, Learning and Technology at Washington State
University in collaboration with The TLT Group.
This new
system is now in limited beta test release for all TLT Group
subscribing institutions and TLT Group individual members
with Flashlight Online
