When we help institutions, it's
almost always with a blend of human help (often a mix of
visit, telephone, and online); assessment tools; and
materials. We help, and teach you to help yourself,
simultaneously. We provide services such as:
-
Talks and
workshops (on campus; online) to demonstrate to faculty and staff
how to 'Ask the Right Questions
(ARQ)';
-
Working with your staff to
systematically improve the scholarship of teaching and
learning, and develop a culture of evidence at your
institution;
-
External
evaluation of grant-funded projects (and we can help you
develop evaluation plans for your proposals); Help your IT
services design evaluations of pilot tests of new
software and online services;
-
Evaluation
of your institution's faculty support and professional
development services;
-
Work with
your institution on accreditation self-study designs;
-
Evaluate old
or new learning spaces (physical, online, or hybrid);
-
Train your staff how to
use Flashlight Online (we do these workshops on site and
online (and we
have archived
sessions on line that you can watch on your own
schedule).
To see the range
of topics where we can help you, take a look at the
table of contents of the
Flashlight Evaluation Handbook. Services
are usually provided by TLT Group staff such as
Steve
Ehrmann and
Bonnie Mullinix, or by Senior Consultants such as
Phyllis Worthy Dawkins and Frank Parker (Johnson C. Smith
University), Flora McMartin, and Sarah Holsted. To talk with our
staff about the possibilities, please contact Sally Gilbert
(contact information below).
