The TLT Group started BeTA with a grant from the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE).  Since then other institutions have 'bought into the project.' In the next few months, we will be creating a new cohort of institutions, some of which will continue from the original project. 

At this time (Fall 2005), the following institutions are actively involved in BeTA:

4. Kent State University

5. Mount Royal College

6. Northern Arizona University

7. Ohio University

8. Santa Ana College

9. St. Edward's University

10. Valencia Community College

11. Virginia Commonwealth University

12. Washington State University (also developing Flashlight Online 2.0 with support from BeTA)
