TLT Group Online Institute
Guidelines for Registrants
What to expect during online sessions - including
chat room usage, what to do if having technical
trouble
Most
TLT Group Live Online Events require:
-
Access to a computer with a stable Internet
connection
-
Web
browser less than 3 years old
-
Basic audio software and speakers or headset
that permit listening to music or other sounds
from that computer
-
Basic audio software and microphone that permit
talking into the Internet from that computer
(recommended but not required)
-
When
you log in for the first time, you may be
prompted to download enabling programs or
plug-ins, such as Sun Microsystem's Java Web
Start or OpenJNLP for Mac (depending on the
webtool). Most computers will only need to do
this for the first time that webtool is used. Be
sure to clear this step with your System
Administrator if that is required or recommended
at your institution.
